The Indian Army is on the mission to raise awareness on environmental issues and preserving the ecosystem, especially in Leh-Ladakh. The Indian Army observed “World Environment Day” at Bodhkharbu along with the local youth. The event marked a lecture highlighting the importance of the day and the way forward to “Beat Plastic Pollution”, which is also the theme of this year’s World Environment Day.
The event waswell received by young & budding students from Bodhkharbu, Khangral & Heniskot who were more than willing to be part of the initiative. The Indian Army is not only protecting the borders of our country but also the environment and stands by its motto“Service Before Self”. Such initiatives are apt examples of Indian Army’s sincerity and hard work.
