Parliament session prorogued by President

New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) Monsoon Session of Parliament was prorogued by President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday.

The Monsoon Session commenced on July 19, and was adjourned sine die by Speaker Om Birla on August 13, ahead of its scheduled end.

The session was washed out as a united Opposition protested over the Pegasus snooping controversy and other issues. Government and Opposition have blamed each other for the washout. However, Lok Sabha passed 20 Bills.
